I have several of these, they work best at an angle so I have an angle shelf for 5 of my chucks with the chuck buddies M33 x 3.5 extra long version as all my chucks have the reversing lock and the extra long is needed, I like the plastic thread, if I am a tad careless and cross thread then the chuck is undamaged.
I also have one screwed to a vertical wall which holds my threaded friction plate which is 16″ diameter and would not work at an angle! Bit more fiddly to get onto the chuck buddy partly due to it’s size but also the angle, but it stays on the wall which is the objective.

Have a number of these, m33x3.5, and space saving is incredible. Prior to the buddy, each of my chucks were stored in individual boxes on shelves.
I have mine vertical on the wall and so long as I use both hands to keep the chuck square to buddy, they are all perfect.
